Before the sale
The information provided in the catalogue is prepared by Osenat with the due diligence required of a public auction house, subject to any amendments displayed in the auction room prior to the opening of the sale or announced by the person authorised to conduct the sale at the beginning of the auction and recorded in the sale report.
The descriptions are established on the basis of information supplied by the seller, scientific, technical and artistic knowledge, and the generally accepted opinion of experts and specialists at the time such information is prepared.
Condition reports are available upon request.
All lots are sold as they stand at the time of the sale, with their imperfections or defects. No claims may be made in respect of usual restorations or minor damage.
It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to examine each lot prior to the sale and to rely on their own judgement to verify that each lot corresponds to its description. Relining, cradling or lining, being conservation measures and not defects, will not be mentioned. Dimensions are given for information purposes only.
During the pre-sale exhibition, any potential buyer will have the opportunity to inspect each object offered for sale in advance, in order to become fully aware of its characteristics, size and any repairs or restorations.
The exhibition preceding the sale is open to all and free of charge.
